Transparent promoted placement

How bidding works

A direct listing starts with a promotion budget of at least £49. That payment buys a 30-day listing and determines its relative position in the paid block; it does not buy a fixed rank.

Choose a budget

Start at £49

Employers choose a whole-pound promotion budget between £49 and £2,000. Higher-funded eligible jobs appear higher within the promoted block.

Clear separation

Promoted never means organic

Every paid placement is labelled “Promoted”. Bids affect only that labelled block and never reorder organic results. Imported jobs cannot enter promoted positions.

If you are outbid

Your listing stays live

Another employer can move ahead by posting or increasing their budget. Your job remains searchable for its original 30-day period, but outbid employers receive no automatic refund.

Move higher

Top up an active job

From the employer dashboard, add at least £10 to an active paid direct job, up to the £2,000 cumulative self-serve limit. You pay only the increment, and a top-up does not extend the expiry date.

Positions can change

Positions are estimates and can change as other employers post or increase their budgets. Payment does not guarantee traffic, applications or a hire.
